Great Product with One Flaw

My wife and I love this cold brew maker. Thank t is large fits nicely in the fridge due to its small stature and has a nice heavy duty handle. The item is well built and makes really good cold brew. The one major flaw is that the spout leaks. It doesn't leak right away but after a number of hours it starts to leak no matter what. This issue has been there since day 1. But other then the one flaw we love it. Due to the large issue of it leaking and making us clean the fridge I give it 3 stars.

Leaking when in fridge

I bought this months ago and I'm fed up with it leaking in the fridge, the spout leaks when it's in the fridge but ok when the maker is on the counter at room temperature. The seal inside the spout must be shrinking in cold temp which results in the coffee leaking out all over the inside of the fridge. There should be a new replacement or redesigned spout at no charge. People spent good money believing in this product so Kitchen aide needs to step up!

I bought this last summer and was so excited to use it. Love cold brew but it leaked the first time all over my fridge. Thinking the valve wasn't tight I tried again. Mess all over fridge. Put it away and didnt use for awhile. Should have returned. Spent too much for something I really could have done in a plain old pitcher. Only brew over sink if it doesnt leak. Came home today and it had leaked half of the contents into the sink. My husband said this was such a waste of money and he was right. Feeling foolish for spending so much on this item. I expected it to be good since it was kitchen aid.

I received this for my birthday and I was so excited to try it! The first time it leaked over night all over the refrigerator and into the freezer and soaked the kitchen floor. I took it all apart, reattached everything making sure it was tight. Although I am able to use it, it still leaks at a rate of about 1/2 cup a day. That doesn't soak the floor, but it's a mess in the refrigerator and a waste of good coffee. I can't understand why after so many reviews that it leaks, there isn't a way to make a better seal.

This brewer makes enough concentrate for a week's worth of drinks that taste even better than the ones in the specialty stores. After all, they're a lot less expensive. I have to limit myself to one or two a day. I use skim milk, vanilla, and stevia to flavor mine and get a delicious, healthy. low-calorie drink. Check the calories and fat in the commercial ones! I read all reviews before buying, which say follow the printed directions. I'm more than satisfied. I'm delighted.

I wanted this brewer for so long and my best friend ended up buying it for me. I was so excited until I discovered after the first use that coffee had dripped and spattered all over the bottom of my fridge. I fixed this issue by putting a sandwich bag over the nozzle. Now however, this jo longer works. I've used the brewer several times now and the more I use it, the more it leaks. This morning, I opened my fridge to discover that not only had the brewer leaked so much to fill the sandwich bag with coffee, but the bag became so heavy that it pulled away from the nozzle and fell to the bottom of the fridge. What a mess! A disappointing mess!

Great cold brew coffee but LEAKS

We got this as a wedding present February 2018 and we absolutely loved it! It made great tasting cold brew and it definitely saved us a bunch on Starbucks. Unfortunately, it started leaking about 9 months of use. We cannot figure out where the leak is coming from. We believe it's somewhere on the bottom seal. We opened our fridge one day and it leaked all over the fridge! Since we got it from a registry, I'm not sure if we can even return it.

I originally received this as a Christmas gift and was super disappointed when i first used it and it leaked terribly. I called Kitchenaid and they quickly sent me a replacement. The new one was perfect! It is super easy to use, filters perfectly and makes THE BEST cold brew I've ever had, not to mention that it looks pretty in my fridge and doesn't take up much space at all. We love this cold brew

We thought we'd use it mainly for cold brew drinks but we love it on ice cream too. We have some everyday. Stylish and functional it's a pleasure to use and keep in the drive too the spigot works perfectly. We mix with sparkling water and also with cream. Amazing.

If you don't want leaks brew at room temp

I received this as a gift and it is the best tasting cold brew I have had. For those who complained about the leaking spout. Mine also leaked but KitchenAid replaced quickly. Second one also leaked but slower. I discovered that when put in fridge the cold made the nozzle leak. Now I brew on my counter at room temperature. Then move coffee to a container. There are no more leaks.

Perfect!....except the spout leaks

I received this cold brew coffee/tea maker yesterday and used it for the first time to make a cold brew tea. The product itself is beautiful and compact and fits great in the fridge. I made tea according to the instructions specific to tea and am very pleased with the result. The only issue, which is not a small one, is that the spout leaked while brewing. And yes it was tightly closed. I cleaned up the mess and figured I'd not comment until I finish this batch and attempt another. Unfortunately, tonight I realized that the leak "damage" wasn't confined to the area immediately below the cold brew maker but had leaked all the way down into my produce drawer...it took half a roll of paper towels to clean it up and since I brewed a Rooibos tea, it was quite the colorful mess. The leak was quite large. I love the concept and the tea but given other reviews complaining of the same issue, I am feeling discouraged.

Spout is slow to dispense coffee - how to clean

We've had mostly good luck with our cold brewer. Not long after we bought it I noticed the coffee was dispensing slower and slower from the valve. I keep the drain holes and the hose beneath the drain clean so the problem must be the valve. I can't find a way to get into it to clean it properly. I'm thinking some kind of sludge or slime is building up. Has anyone found a way to clean inside the valve?
