its a very good table top stove. We have one issue with the screw holding the element on where you push it in and out when you need to clean the bottom element covers. it was stripped and the part falls apart. we are trying to find something to fix it but have not found one yet.

I have always had the same Whirlpool electric cooktop with pleasure. This model is simply the worst. It is defective in design because the burner pans do not fit securely in their openings and they swivel all around when cooking and cleaning...just horrible, unsafe, and frustrating. A serviceman came out, said the burners were functioning properly (yes), but that he could do nothing about my issue and left in5 minutes with no advice. I also called customer service with the same unconcerned reply. Very disappointing in the company.

We bought this cooktop to replace our other Whirlpool cooktop that was original to the house (34years0...it fit the opening perfectly after all those years in the island, just like it was meant to. The burners heat up so much quicker than the other one..We love the new look with the black top that replaced the brushed stainless.

Obtained and had installed about a month ago. Love it. Easy to adjust burner temperatures with knobs along the side edge. No more reaching over hots pots to adjust like my old cooktop. Maintains burner temps great.

Was looking for a cooktop unit that fit an existing cutout in black.This item was what we were looking for. The required dimensions were not exactly as stated but a 1/2 inch shim in cutout fixed that. Overall, very satisfied.

I bought this one to replace an old cooktop that went out. I love that the knobs push down to click on and off, no accidentally turning them on when cleaning etc. It cooks as expected.

I purchased this stove top 2 weeks ago and I have been nothing but pleased with it's performance. The elements get hot within seconds and cooks evenly. I absolutely love the black surface, it is so easy to clean and I am truly a satisfied customer. I love my Whirlpool!

I've owned this cooktop for almost a month now and am very happy with it.Installation was straight forward with the only exception that the bottom portion that goes beneath the counter was smaller than the cooktop we were replacing. It was a simple fix for my husband to add wood to both sides to better brace and attach the cooktop to securely. If you are installing in a brand new counter, this won't be an issue because you will have the item there to measure for your cut-out.It cleans up so much easier than the glasstop version. The heating elements and trays can be removed to clean up spills and crumbs.It heats quickly and cooks well.
