Already replaced door switches twice within 3years

Avoid this microwave oven! The warranty is only valid for a year and the door switches burn out in a little more than a year. Already replaced it twice in less than 3 years of usage, and this last time it cost $321. I even replaced all three switches each time, since the additional parts cost vs labor was not that much more. Never buying a Bosch anything again!

THe Bosch is a great oven with some great features like Keep Warm and hi /lo Broil. Sensor cooking. The convection is strong and easy to use as is the oven timer and microwave function. Easy to read controls.
I wish it had: a Proofing setting for bread, timed cook, and a louder timer signal.
It is hard to clean especially the space between the oven and the door.

With in 4 years microwave has died twice. That makes it $600 in services. Save your money and get something else. I thought Bosch was good product and invested in it but after the first time it died, I thought maybe is just the one time but the second time, I would like my money back.

I had to have this Speed Oven for our house remodel. The concept makes perfect sense, micro and a high end toaster oven all in one; and in the wall to boot. I purchased it a couple of years ago, prior to the pandemic; and with those delays we finally moved in, November 2021. In September 2022, the thing blew the circuit breaker, and continues to do so immediately after resetting the breaker. Of course no longer in warranty. It appears this is a common problem based upon other reviews. Please Help Bosch

I bought this oven as part of our kitchen remodel, in order to get rid of a counter top microwave and have an extra small oven. I am thoroughly enjoying using it. The microwave, sensor cook, speed chef, and convection modes all work well. Love the pull down door feature.

Bought this to replace a broken microwave/convection oven and have had trouble with it since it was installed. Convection oven takes a while to heat up and microwave takes 2x as long to heat food. Food in glass bowls do not get evenly heated and some (popcorn in glass container) don't ever heat up at all.
Don't waste your money.

We had a Miele speedcook that had to be repaired twice in five years and still malfunctioned. We finally bought the Bosch because it would fit in the same space and had the functions I wanted. It has proved to be better than the Meile ever was. Sensor cook really does well for veggies etc. Fast, powerful microwave. Good convection cooking. I only wish it had a proofing setting for bread. Excellent combo convection and microwave.

Wow, where to start. We were so excited by the concept of this oven as it doubled as a microwave and a smaller second oven for our home. That's about where the good feelings end....
It was installed about 2 years ago and we have had nothing but trouble with this unit. Sometimes it just doesn't work at all. Sometimes the microwave works, but the oven doesn't. Sometimes it's the other way around. Bosch has sent a repair person out to our home no fewer than 8 times to work on this. The last time they were out, they told us that a piece of the electronics had exploded in the back and caused a hole in the cabinet so we've actually been shooting out microwaves into our kitchen environment. Great :-(
Bosch refuses to replace the unit or give us our money back.
And, the kicker is that I even bought their extended warranty and they are still only offering a "pro-rated discount" on a replacement item.
I should have trusted the reviews that said that this product is not ready for prime time and that the customer service is the worst. A bad $1,500 mistake.
I hate to say it, but steer clear of this product....

my speed oven lasted for less than 4 years. i had a repair person come to look at it but it's unfixable. i'm stuck reordering the same exact unit bc my cabinets were designed around the dimmensions of this unit. i called bosch customer service to see if there's anything they can do but i was told no. i would never order this again if i didn't have to.

Ive had nothing but problems and honestly customer service has been the most dissapointment. I get that repairs need to be made but the unit is 3 mo old, non functional currently after it started no microwaving intermittently and now wont heat at all. They give you links and lists of dealers you can try on your own to contact [no one gets back to you regardless] and you are on your own getting a warrantee repair. Replacement isnt even an option. Living without an oven for 2 month has been loads of fun [sarcasm]. ONE STAR

Died after less than 2 mo useage and getting Service is a nightmare. They make you do the leg work. All retailers I tried wont service them unless bought at their store. Many emails with Bosch but they basically tell you 'try this list of authorized repair centers' and zero help. Really? a 1800$ stove thats a lemon and they dont replace it immediately?? Ever lived without a stove in your kitchen? not so much fun.

After numerous service calls and replacement parts, the microwave continues to be a problem. When it works, it cooks unevenly - one part of a bacon slice will be burnt while the middle is raw. Now the microwave has stopped working completely again, but this time it is a different problems than the other three times it quit. Now the turntable won't turn so the microwave won't heat. Getting a technician to repair is always difficult and obtaining replacement parts is a nightmare. Please be warned to avoid Bosch products. They are low quality and customer suppport is awful.

We just this afternoon learned that for the second time in two years the electronic board has gone out and must be replaced at our expense. Last time the board was $235 paid to our authorized service, and this time same part is $375 at their cost! Only 90 day Warrentee.

We bought this oven and the 24" regular wall oven with the rotary TFT display at the same time. The wall oven is far and away the best appliance I've ever had. This matching speed oven has been a nightmare though. It never gets to 450, it died just after the warranty was up, and it just died again tonight. Apparently there's some sensor that blows. I think it was $350 to replace last time. Not inclined to do it again. Very dissapointed. Was just looking at a new Bosch refrigerator because all of our other appliances are Bosch. I am leery now though. One more thing, the 24" wall oven appears to be European spec. and it exudes quality. This one, not so much. Even the handle is flimsy compared to the matching wall oven. And the handles don't even technically match. The one on the speed often is more plasticy and sticks out further.

This is a nice oven but it takes a while - and reliance on instructions and YouTube videos - to learn how to use all the features. As an example, using the microwave to heat two cups of coffee, I've gotten a face full of steam when I opened the door. Now I know this is because it's so powerful and to use a lower power setting, but this wasn't intuitive or in the manual.

Great concept, but I've had 3 service calls for an obvious faulty design. When the door opens, there's a trip that shuts off the oven. That keeps getting burned out even when the door isn't being opened.

When this oven worked it was great but after less than 2 years it died and it was not under warranty. The company provided us with the replacement parts but not the service call((total $359.99). The parts are just $30. Now the oven is dead again and from the same cause.

Four years into buying this model, no less than four repairs needed, internal thermostat, control panel, opening door now shorting circuit breaker. Latest call to support for fixing short - stating I must pay for fourth repair.

This microwave has so may innovations that I'm still enjoying experimenting with all the features. Not only does it do traditional microwave functions, but it does convection cooking, has a multitude of sensor cooking options and a guide to help with some specific functions. It's a beautiful addition to my kitchen.

Our main oven is broken and having a microwave / convection oven combo has been a lifesaver. The controls are easy to use, the display is clear if you're setting minutes vs seconds (vs hours) and the timer has a pleasant sound when it goes off.

Very disappointed with this speed oven. In less than 2 years of owning it, it's broken for the second time at the electrical fuse/cord rendering it inoperable. I spent good money on Bosch appliances expecting reliability and quality but this speed oven is a lemon. Very disappointed.

Had the technician out multiple times for service the first year due to the convection oven not working and error messages with the microwave. Replaced parts and we still had issues. Requested a new replacement, but was turned down. Replaced more parts. Now 2 1/2 years later the entire oven just went blank and has no power. Of course this happened right after warranty ended. Will not buy another. Extremely disappointed.

We got this to go along with large range so that we would have an extra oven at holidays or for small bakes that don't make sense to heat up the big oven. Only two small quips. One the alarm for end of time is hardly audiable even on high and two, it would be nice if you could a low heat for bread proofing. Otherwise it is a nice addition to our kitchen!

Microwave light requires complete unit to be pulled from wall to be replaced. Extremely poor design feature. Power level does not work if pressed before entering time - again, a design flaw. Owner manual states to simply press "Powet Level" to adjust but does not work if done prior to entering microwave time.

During the first 18 months of ownership, this microwave has needed two replacement parts. I have been waiting four months for a replacement for the $215 Control Unit. Finding a technician to repair and getting replacement parts have been next to impossible. As other reviewers have noted, even when the microwave works it cooks very unevenly.

I wish this review could be 5 stars, I really do.
I purchased this Bosch Microwave/Convection Oven because of the exceptional performance that my existing Bosch Dishwasher and Bosch Vent Hood delivered. I love both of those appliances.
When it came time to buy a new microwave, I didn't even consider any other brands because I had become such Bosch enthusiast, I figured anything else would be a let down.
Turns out, the real let down is this Bosch Microwave/Convection Oven.
PURCHASING THIS MICROWAVE WAS A BIG MISTAKE.
Here's why I want to throw this microwave out the window like the fax machine in Office Space:
* Sensor Reheat - it cannot sense to save its life. This microwave will basically get all food hot enough to melt steel, so I never use this feature. Seriously, a plume of steam gets expelled when opening the door if left to complete a Sensor Reheat cycle. (In contrast, the GE Cafe microwave that was replaced by this Bosch had an excellent sensor reheat function.)
* Turntable is always on -- it cannot be turned off. If using the convection oven, it's a few extra decibels of noise that isn't really needed in the kitchen.
* Unreliable -- the closed door sensor is highly sensitive to the point where I'm constantly loosening and tightening the screws that keep the microwave attached to the cabinet. If they are too tight/too loose, it will not activate the "microwaves" to warm food, but it will still turn on the fan and countdown, almost pretending to be functional.
* Convection is unreliable as well -- similar to the door sensor feature, sometimes the convection heats and other times, the fan just blows but there's no warmth. Again, my previous GE Cafe was rock-solid from a dependability standpoint.
About the only thing this microwave does well is look pretty.
I've only had this microwave for 4 months, and I'm seriously contemplating its replacement.
Here's why: I simply cannot depend on this microwave functioning properly. Any chef/cook knows how frustrating it can be to plan a meal, only to have an appliance crap out on them. It's not fun, and it's especially not fun with a device that costs $1,400.
I consider if this microwave works as intended, it's a bonus. It shouldn't be this way.
If you were a Bosch loyalist and, as a result, are considering this microwave, I would highly discourage it...unless you want to buy mine. :)

Bougth this along with multiple other Bosch products as part of a professional kitchen remodel. Worked great when it worked --which was just about 2 years. Based on other reviews, this seems like a common problem. I expected a lot more for the money and from the Bosch brand than 24 months.

As long as the microwave worked, it was great! One option, that I really was disappointed, that the oven didn't have, was timed cooking. And you can barely hear the timer. BUT the life of this oven is REALLY short. My first one was replaced by warranty as it wasn't repairable, after less than a year, and now after a bit over a year (with trouble before already) the second microwave can't be repaired! I would definitely NOT buy this, just looki into other options.

I am very happy with my Speed Oven. I find I often use it instead of my larger oven when cooking smaller items because it heats up so much faster. I love all the different options for cooking. My only complaint is that I wish the laminated "cheat sheet" for quick reference was more extensive. I keep needing to go back to my instruction booklet to figure out what power level to use. This is a great product for a small kitchen. it will be great at the holidays for a second oven. I highly recommend!
